Leah Noble and Leah Wechsler are Internet friends who share more than just a first name: they’re both creative entrepreneurs for whom blogging is an important part of their business model. In this workshop, Noble and Wechsler, designer and writer respectively, will share their remedies and perspectives on the art of content strategy. You’ll take away secret ingredients for effective storytelling and repeatable methods for designing your blog’s content, whether your blog is a small side project or a central part of your business.

Presenter Bios:

leahnoble_headshot_500pxLeah Noble is a graphic designer and writer who lives in North Sydney, Cape Breton. She grew up in the woods of Baddeck Bay and loves being out in nature, eating local food, and getting to know other creatives. She was the writer behind the blog Dream Big Cape Breton, and she has helped coordinate events such as the Creative Soul Weekend retreat and the Cabot Trail Writers Festival. She has spoken at the Youth Social Enterprise Bootcamp (CBU 2012), Ideas Powered By Passion, and the Fuller Terrace Lecture Series. She works for the Horizon Achievement Centre as a designer and arts program provider, and has her own design business on the side.

 

leahwechsler_headshot_500pxLeah Wechsler is a content strategist, copywriter, and writer living in Portland, Maine. Raised across the US, her creative writing practice began on at a library workshop and continued on to classes at the New School University. She graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with degrees in Comparative Literature and Design & Technology. After 12 years of working with corporate clients to visioneer ideas into reality, she opened Creative, She Wrote, a studio dedicated to the art of storytelling. Wechsler is an alumna of The Banff Centre and graduated from New York University with an MS in human-computer interaction. She has blogged with: Dear Handmade Life, The Freelancers Union, and her creative non-fiction appeared in The Sun magazine.
